    Seed Maps

Boost your yield - with needs-based seeding.

My Data Plant aids the optimization of drilling and takes another step towards achieving an even crop by adapting seed rates to soil conditions. The system identifies the amount of seed required for a given area and average seed rate, thereby identifying demands on seed stocks.

By making the assessments at a low resolution the possibilities of adapting seed rates to local soil and field conditions brings enormous benefits to your farm; optimized stocks, even cropping, assisted harvesting.

My Data Plant, brings the complexity of multispectral satellite data of Sentinel II of the European Space Agency (ESA), into an intuitive system for the farmer/agronomists own use. The combination of different indices at various stages of crop development are the basis to draw conclusions of soil differences. With the My Data Plant-portal, users can generate seed maps for their fields. The user can choose between three or five zones of differentiation within the field, whereupon the system creates a map of the area with these zones displayed. The user is able to make manual adaptions if required, to accommodate their own knowledge of the field.

What kind of technology is required for implementation?

After creating the variable seed maps, the information can be transferred to all common current terminals of tractors for the implementation. The maps inform the drill as to what rate is applicable at any particular reference point on the field. The basic requirement is a drill which can regulate the amount of seed to be planted. A fully automatic implementation will need a terminal, which has the function for the implementation of application rate instruction, as well as the licenses from the manufacturer.

The detailed seed maps provide you information on:

  • Different zones of soil texture (light to heavy)
  • Possibility to allocate different seed rates to specific zones
  • Unit for drilling or precision drilling
  • Required amount of seed
